Manchester United are expected to look for a new left back in the ongoing transfer window with Luke Shaw past the 30-year-old mark and Patrick Dorgu returning at the start of the new season having spent a significant time recovering from injury.
Newcastle United star Lewis Hall has been linked with a move to Old Trafford lately but there remain doubts over whether the Red Devils can secure a move for him after they have already sold crucial players in Bruno Guimaraes and Sandro Tonali.
According to talkSPORT, Manchester United have now been offered the opportunity to sign Arsenal left back Myles Lewis-Skelly with Chelsea also receiving similar communication from those linked with the 19-year-old and the Gunners.
He has been sporadic in Mikel Arteta’s plans, and following Piero Hincapie’s permanent signing from Bayer Leverkusen coupled with trust in Riccardo Calafiori at left back, Lewis-Skelly risks spending much of the campaign as a secondary option at Arsenal.

While The Athletic has reported that Myles Lewis-Skelly is committed to remaining at Arsenal, it will be interesting to see what comes of his future if he does not get too many opportunities in the first team between now and the end of the transfer window.
Lewis-Skelly’s pace, aggression and dribbling down the left flank, ability to invert into a midfielder and success rate in one-on-one situations and physical duels make him a top quality left back, who would bolster Chelsea as well as Manchester United.
Between the Premier League duo, it is fair to think Manchester United have a stronger likelihood to signing Lewis-Skelly over the Blues, who are closing in on a swoop for Rayo Vallecano’s Pep Chavarria and will not be playing in next season’s Champions League.
United, on the other hand, can offer the Arsenal teenager regular game time in their back four alongside the opportunity to play in the European Cup next season, which would make them a more realistic contender for his services.
The left back is valued at £38 million on Transfermarkt but it remains to be seen how much his asking price would be considering he recently renewed his contract at the Emirates Stadium until 2030.
