Mercedes Mone may have just dropped another hint at reunion with Bayley amid her WWE exit rumors

As conjecture surrounding Bayley’s WWE status continues to mount, AEW megastar Mercedes Mone seems to have dropped another tease hinting at a potential reunion with her long-time rival and ally in the Tony Khan-led company. The erstwhile Sasha Banks is set to challenge for the All Elite Wrestling Women’s World Title at the promotion’s upcoming stadium show, All In: London, in less than two weeks.

Last month at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Bayley lost her blowoff singles match against Lyra Valkyria, and after the bout got completely annihilated by her former protege and tag team partner. Not long afterwards, rumors regarding The Role Model’s WWE future and contract status began making the rounds on social media. According to the latest updates on the topic, the former Women’s Champion has yet to re-sign with the sports entertainment juggernaut, and her programming return in the company may hinge on her inking a new deal.

Around that time, AEW’s Mercedes Mone had caused a huge social media stir by sharing a fan-made poster for a WrestleDream match between her and Bayley, which many saw as her potentially hinting at her Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection teammate’s All Elite Wrestling arrival. Incidentally, some time earlier on X/Twitter, the 2026 Women’s Owen Cup winner asked her followers for their views on who has been her greatest tag team partner so far.

A massive number of users named Bayley as their pick, and it does not seem implausible to suggest that Mercedes may have timed her post to possibly tease the AEW signing of her former partner once again.

Former WWE star Mercedes Mone attacked an AEW veteran last week

This past weekend on AEW Collision, Mercedes Mone went one-on-one with Zayda Steel after the up-and-comer had reprimanded the former TBS Champion for attacking Willow Nightingale during her interview with Renee Paquette. The CEO defeated The Real Deal, and afterwards launched a vicious assault both on Zayda, and on her manager Christopher Daniels, with her Owen Hart Tournament title belt.

Her ambush continued until Willow arrived to make the save and chase Mercedes off. Mone is set to challenge Nightingale for her AEW Women’s World Championship later this month at All In: London.
