Brian Schottenheimer speaks out after Cowboys’ fight-filled practice with Saints

Someone should’ve shouted “Get ready to rumble” before the Dallas Cowboys hosted the New Orleans Saints in a joint practice in Oxnard, California, on Tuesday.

There were reportedly six fights during the session. And they weren’t just little scrums you normally see during joint practices. They were full-on brawls.

Things got heated during Cowboys-Saints practice

During one skirmish, Saints starting center Erik McCoy tossed a Cowboys player’s helmet. Later, McCoy lost his helmet during another scuffle, but that didn’t stop him from trading punches with multiple Cowboys.

Good thing he didn’t lose his head. Well, actually, he did. Several players did. Cowboys second-year linebacker Donovan Ezeiruaku was tossed for throwing a punch.
