This afternoon, Spain secured the bronze at the European Championships in Birmingham with an excellent performance in the mixed 4×100 relay, an event held for the first time at this edition. Guillem Crespí, Maribel Pérez, Andoni Calbano and Jaël Bestué clocked 40.42, which is also the national record. The gold went to Great Britain (with a European record and Amy Hunt’s fourth gold) and the silver to Germany.
