And it’s that a mix-up with one of them has turned the medal into a viral sensation before the race.
There has been a mix-up between the Allianz Arena, the football stadium where Bayern Munich plays, and the Allianz Stadium in Moore Park in Sydney, which has a very different look. The organizers acknowledged the error with a touch of humor. «We have slipped in a touch too international on the back of the finishers’ medal, with an incorrect depiction of the stadium».
