One of the unique features of Mortal Shell 2 is that consumables can scale automatically, depending on the amount you have and that they have both a passive and active stat tree. You can equip two different consumables in the game; one slot activates the active stat and the other activates the passive stat. Among the many consumables in the game, the Grisha Remnant is the one item that stands apart.
Here’s how to get the item and build around it to craft the ultimate summoner build in Mortal Shell 2.
Mortal Shell 2: Grisha Remnant god build
How to summon one Grisha with every hit

This build is crafted around the Grisha Remnant item and its passive skill. Grisha Remnants drop from a defeated Grisha in Mortal Shell. The item comes with two skillsets:
Active Skill:
- Summon 1x Grisha to fight beside you.
- Can be used once per rest.
- The damage dealt by the summoned Grisha is proportional to the Grisha Remnants you have found.
Passive Skill:
- At level 2, your melee attacks have a 3% chance to summon a Grisha.
- At level 3, the chance to summon a Grisha is equal to the number of Grisha Remnants you have found.
The passive skill of the Grisha Remnant is what makes it special. If you manage to collect 100 Grisha Remnants, you will be able to summon a Grisha with every hit (does not need to connect with a target), turning your melee attacks into a summoning tool.
How to farm Grisha Remnants

The best place to farm Grisha Remnants is right inside the Marrow Keep. Near the training chamber of Sester Genessa, you will find a hidden dungeon. Once you go down the wooden platform, go towards the wall on the left side and you will find a blurry mark of an arrow on the wall. Hit it once to remove the illusion. Inside you will find a chained up chalice. Break all the chains and interact with the chalice to enter the Desolate Keep dungeon.

Inside you will face a Grisha boss who will respawn every time you rest. So, here’s the best Grisha Remnant farming loop:
1) Immediately after entering the dungeon, go to the left side room.
2) There are two pillars inside the room, go behind the right pillar and find the lever.
3) Once you pull the lever, a stone ramp will appear at the far end of the central pool.
4) Use the ramp to jump down below, where the Grisha boss will be waiting.
5) Kill the boss to get 1x Grisha Remnant.
6) Go through the arch on the right side and run past all the enemies until you return to the main entrance.
7) Exit the dungeon and return to the beacon.
8) Rest at the beacon and repeat.
Best Shell to use
The best shell for this build is Proxima paired with the Axatana. Upgrade Proxima’s Seizure skills so that using the Biosampler inflicts Stasis on enemies.
Proxima allows you to stay at a distance and keep summoning Grishas, while giving you a tool to close the gap swiftly with her Biosampler. Additionally, her Grafted Armor has a 15% chance to mitigate melee or ranged attacks and reduce the mitigated damage by 50% which also prevents her from getting staggered.

Best weapon and sidearm
For this build you will need the fastest weapon in the game, the Axatana. You will need to swing it randomly and every swing will summon a Grisha that charges at the nearest target. So the more you can swing the weapon, the more Grishas you will summon.
But just to be safe, equip your Axatana with the Duality Stone to allow your light attack combos to hit twice.
For the sidearm, use the Triarch Repeater or the Caged Hystrix, both of which offer a high rate of fire.
Best Seal
For this build, the Seal doesn’t really matter, as your summons will completely stunlock enemies before they can even reach you. But you can use the Untarnished Seal to get the Perfect Guard setup.

Best Tarstones

- Your Weapon light attack combos hit twice.
2) Shrike Stone:
Consume 50 resolve to jump high in the air and slam into the ground to deal:
- 150 splash damage
- 25 break damage
3) Voltaic Crown:
- Spend 30 resolve to infuse your weapon with Lightning. (Infusion is permanent at max level.)
4) Voltaic Amber:
- Spend 20 resolve to infuse your sidearm with Lightning which deals lightning damage with every critical strike. (Infusion becomes permanent at max level.)
5) Unstable Stone:
- Hitting an enemy 20 times triggers an explosion that deals 50 splash damage.
6) Siegebreaker’s Stone:
- Ranged attacks deal an additional 150% stagger damage.
7) Auspicious Stone:
- Melee attacks have an additional 18% critical chance.
8) Headsman’s Stone:
- Melee attacks deal 100% critical hit damage.
9) Berserker’s Stone:
- At 50% health, melee attacks deal up to 165% increased damage.
How to play the Grisha Remnant build

Before any encounter, start randomly swinging your Axatana to start summoning multiple Grishas. Once they start attacking, most enemies will become stunlocked. But if they manage to rush you, use the Biosampler to afflict them with Stasis and thunder and create some distance. Then continue summoning the Grisha army and keep your distance.
Additionally, the Grishas will knock down stronger targets, opening up attack windows for you.
