NFL Week 1 lowlights: Worst loss, quarterback performance and more

The start of the NFL season is one of the most wonderful times of the year.

Well, usually. But not so for everyone on Sunday. Below, we look at five lowlights from Week 1, including the worst loss, quarterback performance and more.

The Chargers opened as an 11.5-point favorite, the largest favorite of Week 1, over the Arizona Cardinals, but exited with a stunning 26-14 loss as the league’s biggest embarrassment.

The Cardinals, estimated to be one of the NFL’s worst teams this season, didn’t just pull off the upset; they outclassed Los Angeles, finishing with a 393-268 total yards advantage.

Arizona marched 70 yards for an opening-drive touchdown, then claimed a 10-7 lead off a recovered fumble, one of several Chargers miscues.
