Dallas Cowboys rookie linebacker Jaishawn Barham must wish embarrassing clips of him would stop circulating on social media.
Barham lost his lunch late in the third quarter of a 37-20 home win over the Washington Commanders in Week 2. The clip spread quickly on X and other platforms, marking another unwanted viral moment for the former Michigan Wolverine.
Social media users caught a tense interaction between Barham and new defensive coordinator Christian Parker in a 28-20 road loss to the New York Giants in Week 1. The coach didn’t take offense and instead viewed it as another example of the LB’s passion, one reason he gave the rookie the green dot after it became clear LB DeMarvion Overshown (hamstring) wouldn’t play in Week 2. (The green dot is the sticker on the back of a player’s helmet that indicates it is equipped with a coach-to-player communication system.) He thrived in that role.
Jaishawn Barham impressed in Week 2
Against Washington, Barham finished third on the team in tackles (seven), behind rookie safety Caleb Downs and LB Dee Winters, who each had nine. He also forced a fumble, which Winters recovered.
