After a miserable showing in a 27-7 Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers (2-0) in Australia, the Rams looked like, well, the Rams in the easy win.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford was back in his 2025 MVP form, finishing 22-of-31 for 327 yards, four touchdowns and an interception. Running backs Kyren Williams and Blake Corum combined for 164 yards on 24 carries (6.8 yards per attempt).
Defensively, Los Angeles benefited from Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart (knee) exiting on New York’s opening drive, but it made things difficult for backup Jameis Winston, who finished 11-of-27 for 111 yards and an interception, by keeping New York behind schedule. Per Sumer Sports data, the Giants averaged 2.9 yards per carry on early downs. When they had an opportunity to cut a 14-point deficit in half late in the second quarter, Aaron Donald, playing in his first game after coming out of retirement, blew up a 3rd-and-2 carry with a tackle for loss, forcing a field goal attempt.
