For the second week in a row, Chase Briscoe had Kyle Larson breathing down his neck in the closing laps.
But unlike last week at Kansas, Briscoe held off the defending NASCAR Cup Series champion to win Sunday’s South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, taking his second win of the 2026 season.
Bubba Wallace was closing on Briscoe early in the race’s final run, but it was Larson — who struggled early and earned only one stage point on the afternoon — who passed Wallace for second and put pressure on Briscoe down the stretch.
Larson was close enough to make a move on the final lap, but a good final corner from Briscoe gave him just enough breathing room.
