Teen sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi was seen dealing in sixes in the nets ahead of the second T20I against the West Indies. The second game of the five-match series will be played on Friday, October 9, in Ranchi.

Ahead of the game, Vaibhav Suryavanshi appeared to be in full flow while batting in the open net session at the ground. His power-hitting was on display as the left-hander played some brilliant shots for sixes with head coach Gautam Gambhir and the other support staff watching from close quarters.

Suryavanshi first used his feet and played a lofted inside-out shot over long-off. He then played a similar lofted inside-out shot, which was an extension of the drive. The youngster was then seen getting down on one knee and smashing a slog sweep on the leg side. He also used his feet to slam one past the bowler’s head for another maximum down the ground.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi was not part of the playing XI in the first T20I in Lucknow. Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson opened the batting. With Samson failing to score big, it remains to be seen whether the senior opener gets another go, or the 15-year-old will get an opportunity. That said, he is expected to feature in the playing XI at some point given it is a five-match series.
