On April 28, 2026, TWICE held the final concert of their THIS IS FOR world tour in Japan at MUFG Stadium, also known as the Japan National Stadium, in front of around 80,000 fans.

A video from the show went viral, showing TWICE’s Jihyo crying intensely mid-performance during an emotional song she wrote for the fans. Jeongyeon hugged her on stage to comfort her while other members also showed support.

Rumors soon started circulating, claiming the group might disband after the members cried during what some called their last concert. This sparked panic among many fans who worried the tears signaled the end of TWICE. Some replies expressed concern over the group’s future after more than 10 years together, while others drew comparisons to past K-pop cases.
