Which real-life Bloodline member has competed in AEW?

The Bloodline has dominated WWE over the last few years. With Roman Reigns leading the stable, the faction has been a staple of the main event picture in the company.

Roman Reigns’ championship reign in 2020 kicked off an era-defining storyline in WWE. He added The Usos to his side, making himself the head of the Island of Relevancy. Later, Solo Sikoa also joined the group. Even The Rock returned for a marquee program at WrestleMania 40 alongside Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and Seth Rollins. After Roman lost the title, Solo assumed the position of the Tribal Chief and added other Samoans like Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Jacob Fatu, JC Mateo, and Talla Tonga to the group. While The Bloodline has dominated the ranks of WWE, very few real-life Bloodline members have showed up in its rival promotion AEW.

Recently, Zilla Fatu was asked if he would jump ship to AEW if WWE took too long to debut him. However, the star mentioned that his heart lied with the Stamford-based company. Interestingly, Sean Maluta, the nephew of wrestling legend and Hall of Famer Afa Anoa’i, has been one of the most visible members of the Anoa’i family in All Elite Wrestling. Between 2020 and 2021, the 37-year-old star regularly appeared on AEW Dark and AEW Dynamite as enhancement talent, helping established stars look strong in matches. During that run, he shared the ring with major names like Lance Archer and MJF while gaining exposure on national television.

The Bloodline was on RAW this week

This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw featured the fallout from the Backlash premium live event this past Saturday. The World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns showed up to Raw for the acknowledgement ceremony. Reigns wanted Jacob Fatu to acknowledge him as the Original Tribal Chief. During the final segment of the show, the Acknowledgement Ceremony instantly turned into chaos as Jacob Fatu attacked and annihilated both the OTC and the Usos.

Roman and Fatu went at it with each other in a huge brawl. Reigns planted Jacob with several chair shots. However, Fatu fought back on the outside. The Samoan Werewolf finally powerbombed the champion on the announce table and then drove him and The Usos through the ring barricade to end the show.
