Roman Reigns was left injured on RAW after the main event segment. The Tribal Chief successfully defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Jacob Fatu at Backlash, but it appears the feud is far from over.
On RAW, Reigns decided to hold an “Acknowledgment Ceremony” so that Fatu finally recognizes his authority in the Bloodline. However, the Samoan Werewolf was in no such mood.
Thanks for the submission!
With the OTC1 waiting in the ring, Fatu made his way to the ring, attacking Jey Uso backstage and then Jimmy Uso on the entrance ramp. This led to an intense brawl between him and Reigns with the World Champion initially gaining an upper hand.
Fatu then fought back from multiple chair shots to put his cousin in the Tongan Death Grip. He was able to put the move on Reigns a few more times before powerbombing him through the announce table.

The former US champion followed it with a Running Hip Attack through the barricade, taking out the entire Bloodline as the show came to an end. Now, off-air footage has emerged that shows Reigns suffering a deep cut near his left elbow due to the vicious assault.
In the video, medical staff is seen tending to the Champion’s wound. Reigns is seen walking off and holding a towel around his left arm.
So far, there is no official word on Roman Reigns’ injury at the hands of Jacob Fatu.
Roman Reigns stopped Adam Pearce from firing Jacob Fatu
RAW kicked off with Roman Reigns being approached by general manager Adam Pearce, who told him that he doesn’t think Jacob Fatu should be on the show.
Pearce pointed out how Fatu’s actions at Backlash, which included the Samoan Werewolf putting his hands on referees, agents, and even Pearce, were out of line.
The Tribal Chief told Pearce he cannot fire Fatu until he has acknowledged him and said he was the one who brought him in and he will take him out. Now, it appears Reigns may have bitten off more than he could chew when it comes to Jacob Fatu.
His actions on RAW have only escalated the feud, and it remains to be seen what happens next.
