Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi are set to collide inside Hell in a Cell at WWE SummerSlam 2026 in what promises to be one of the most brutal matches of the year. Both superstars possess incredible strength and unmatched athleticism. Despite this, there is another factor that could ultimately decide the outcome: Paul Heyman.
The WWE Hall of Famer has made a career out of manipulating situations to his clients’ advantage. Whether through distractions, mind games, or outright betrayals, Heyman has repeatedly proven that he can change the course of a match in an instant.
Thanks for the submission!
That said, in this article, we look at three ways The Wiseman could completely swerve the outcome of Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi at SummerSlam.
#3. Paul Heyman could slam the cage door on Oba Femi as he tries to escape
Although Hell in a Cell is designed to keep interference to a minimum, history has shown that managers can still make their presence felt from ringside. Thus, Paul Heyman could seize the perfect opportunity to help Brock Lesnar by using the Cell itself as a weapon.
Late in the match, Lesnar and Oba Femi might wear each other out with intense, hard-hitting exchanges. As a result, Femi might attempt to escape the cage instead of focusing on pinning Lesnar. However, when he reaches the open door, Heyman could be waiting outside and suddenly slam the heavy steel door into Femi’s head or shoulder.
The impact would stun and weaken The Ruler. Thus, making him vulnerable. Meanwhile, The Beast Incarnate would then have the opportunity to pull him back into the ring. Brock Lesnar would need no second invitation. A second F-5 or another devastating finishing sequence could finally be enough to put Oba Femi away.
Such a finish would protect Femi’s momentum even in defeat.
#2. Heyman could enter the Cell late in the match to distract Femi
Paul Heyman doesn’t always need to attack someone to influence a result. Sometimes, a simple distraction is enough.
As the Hell in a Cell contest reaches its closing stages, Oba Femi could have Brock Lesnar beaten. Perhaps Lesnar barely kicks out of a powerbomb, leaving Femi moments away from finishing him once and for all.
At that point, Heyman could unexpectedly enter the Cell after the door has been opened by officials or during a moment of chaos. Rather than attacking The Ruler, The Oracle could repeatedly caution him not to underestimate Lesnar or perhaps plead with him to stop punishing Brock.
The unusual behavior would naturally confuse Oba Femi. Instead of immediately delivering the decisive blow, he may pause to confront Paul Heyman and question his motives. Those few seconds could prove costly.
Brock Lesnar has built his reputation on capitalizing when opponents lose focus. As Femi turns his attention toward Heyman, The Beast Incarnate could recover just enough to explode with a thunderous F-5 before covering The Ruler for the victory.
It would be another reminder that Paul Heyman’s greatest strength isn’t physical interference. Perhaps it’s creating the opening his client needs to win.
#1. Heyman betrays Brock Lesnar and helps Femi win
Perhaps the biggest shock of the night would be Paul Heyman abandoning Brock Lesnar altogether.
Heyman has never been afraid to turn on even his closest allies if he believes it serves his long-term interests. Throughout his WWE career, he has betrayed CM Punk, Roman Reigns, and numerous others whenever a better opportunity presented itself.
Thus, if The Oracle sees Oba Femi as WWE’s next unstoppable attraction, SummerSlam could be the perfect time to align himself with the powerhouse.
After spending the entire match appearing to support Lesnar, Paul Heyman could strike at the worst possible moment. As Brock tries to escape from the cage, Heyman might show the WWE Universe and slam the cage against The Beast Incarnate.
This would give Oba Femi the opening to hit Brock Lesnar with a devastating powerbomb before pinning him clean in the middle of the ring.
Following the match, The Oracle could stand beside Femi, officially revealing his newest alliance. Such a twist would instantly elevate The Ruler’s status while marking the end of Paul Heyman and Lesnar’s latest partnership.
Considering Heyman’s history of shocking betrayals, it would be one of the most unforgettable endings WWE could produce at SummerSlam 2026.
