One Month to Go for the 4th Edition of the 24 Hours of La Tapia – Athletics News

What are the 24 Hours of Tapia?

The 24 Hours of Tapia are much more than a sports challenge. For a full day we will continuously traverse the perimeter of the Casa de Campo, the legendary Tapia, taking turns without rest for 24 hours to demonstrate that, when we combine sport and solidarity, we are capable of achieving extraordinary things.

It doesn’t matter if you run a full lap, a few kilometers, or simply come to join us. What counts is being part of this charitable challenge.

    Solidarity Edition 2026

This year all proceeds will be allocated to ACIMET, an association that works to improve the quality of life of people affected by mitochondrial diseases and their families.

Every kilometer covered will bring us closer to advancing research, patient care, and the dissemination of awareness about these rare diseases.

    Why ACIMET?

Mitochondrial diseases are rare conditions that affect the production of energy within cells, potentially impacting multiple organs and systems.

ACIMET works to: support patients and families, advance research, provide guidance and resources, and raise visibility for these diseases. With this edition, we aim to extend their work even further.

    The Challenge

For 24 consecutive hours, there will always be runners circling the Tapia of the Casa de Campo.

    Approximate route: 16 km

Estimated duration of each relay: 1 hour and 30 minutes

    Start: Saturday, October 17, 2026

    End: Sunday, October 18, 2026

Each relay will be led by members of CLUBTRIMAD, but anyone can join.

    Who can participate?

    Everyone.

You don’t need to be a regular runner.

    You can:

    -run a full lap

    -do it on a bike

    -do just a few kilometers

    -walk part of the route

    -accompany the participants

    -contribute with a donation

    Every participation counts.

    How to contribute?

There are many ways to help.

    -By running

-By participating in any of the relays.

    -By donating

-Making a charitable contribution, regardless of whether you can attend or not

    -As a company

Companies can collaborate through: financial contributions; event sponsorship; items for raffles; refreshments; and spreading the word about the initiative.

    Meeting Point

The event hub will be located at the Lake Parking Lot of the Casa de Campo, from which all relays will depart.

During the 24 hours we will have:

    -meeting area

    -refreshments

    -event information

    -space for runners and companions

    -a supportive, charitable atmosphere.

    Our Objective

We are not merely aiming to cover kilometers. We want to fill the Casa de Campo with people committed to a common cause. Every runner. Every companion. Every donation. Every kilometer. Everything counts.

    Who are we?

More than ten years ago, an idea arose that moved us from within: to create a space where triathlon would be a synonym for self-improvement and enjoyment.

Our story began at the TRIMAD triathlon store in Madrid. We didn’t only sell specialized gear; we accompanied each person in their dreams. We are a restless people, always seeking new challenges, but with a Club philosophy that is uniquely ours.

Our commitment goes beyond sport. We want to use it as a tool to help those who need it most. From that philosophy, the project 24 Hours of Tapia was born.
