All Cicada Wreck locations in Subnautica 2

As soon as you jump out of the Lifepod in Subnautica 2, the resource gathering begins. However, some of the most useful items in the game are scattered across Cicada Wrecks. These are parts of the Alterra starship that crashed in the ocean a few decades ago. Inside, you’ll find blueprints, upgrades, and databank entries that’ll help you survive better.

There are five major Cicada Wrecks in the game, but while exploring, you’ll also come across a few minor ones. Some of them are parts of Cicada, while others are old outposts made by your predecessors that now lie in ruins. Here are all the Cicada Wrecks locations in Subnautica 2, along with their loot.

The Lander Garage Cicada Wreck is about 350 meters Northeast of the Lifepod. Inside, there are multiple containers in a corner with item blueprints, but to gain entry, you need to swim under the structure. There, you’ll also find multiple Lead ore deposits that’ll help craft items later in the game. Here are all the scannable items inside Lander Garage in Subnautica 2:

    • Room recipe data card
    • Processor
    • Bioreactor
    • Tadpole fragment
    • Rebreather
    • Anomaly recipe data card

The last two items on the list are only accessible if you have a Repair Tool to fix one of the faulty doors. You can craft one at the Fabricator, but until then, leave the door be.

    2) Empty Hold

The Empty Hold is in the thermal zone, and with the temperature there reaching 85 degrees, you’ll need the ‘Heat Tolerance’ adaptation. It’s just beneath the highest underwater volcano and hard to miss. However, to gain entrance, you need to look for a hole on the second floor, near rocks and containers. Here’s everything you can find once inside:

    • Power Cell Terminal
    • Biobed
    • Half Round Room

The EVA Prep Cicada Wreck will have you travel all the way to the ancient alien civilization. To reach this place, you need to travel East for about 1700 meters. One common mistake when searching for EVA Prep is diving too deep. Stay around 120 meters in depth, and you’ll easily spot the Wreck.

However, along the way, you’ll also encounter the Collector. If you manage to get past, look for a tower with blue lights, and you’ll find the Cicada Wreck. There are a lot of items inside, but to get them all, you’ll need a Repair Tool.

    • Bioscanner
    • Dining Table x2
    • Floor Locker x3
    • Improved Fins
    • Keep Calm Poster
    • Lab Chair x4

The Stairway to Heaven is near a cliff above the Power Plant, where you can find Trolite. As for the exact location, travel about 2,100 meters away from the Lifepod towards the East and dive 300 meters below the ocean with the help of the upgraded Tadpole. Alternatively, travel about 450 meters Northeast of EVA Prep.

Inside, you’ll find two High-Capacity Air Tank blueprints. If you’re simply exploring, the area may not be worth checking. However, the entrance to the Wreck is blocked by a Bloom Biofilm. There’s also a secret entrance leading to an infected juvenile Angle Comb that you need to cure to get the final adaptation in Subnautica 2.
