Rams’ Super Bowl-winning LT Alaric Jackson arrested over domestic violence charge: Report

Alaric Jackson has made the news — and not for good reasons.

On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Police Department told the media that the Canadian offensive tackle had been arrested for domestic battery. The incident happened just before 11 p.m. on Monday, when police were called to his house in West Hills.

When police arrived, they were greeted by Jackson and a woman arguing. He had snatched her phone, having assumed she was recording him, and left scratch marks on her arms. He was booked early Tuesday morning and eventually released on a $50,000 bond.

A statement from his team, the Los Angeles Rams, read:

“We are aware of the incident regarding Alaric Jackson, and we take these matters very seriously. Due to this being an ongoing legal situation, we cannot comment further at this time.”

Rams left tackle Alaric Jackson was arrested on a felony domestic violence charge Monday night, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to ESPN’s @sarahbarshop:

After going undrafted out of Iowa in 2021, where he was a multiple-time All-American, Jackson was signed by the Rams as a free agent. He played only four games as a rookie, none of them starts, but won Super Bowl LVI.

His limited role continued into 2022, as injuries and blood clots limited him to eight games, including six starts. In 2023, however, he was promoted to the starting left offensive tackle spot and did admirably, helping the Rams return to the playoffs after a year’s absence.

Jackson missed the first two games of the 2024 season after being suspended for a violation of the NFL’s personal conduct policy. Nevertheless, he secured a three-year, $57-million extension the following offseason.

During the 2025 season, a Philadelphia woman accused him of filming her during sex, then sending her the video. That case was dismissed on April 10.

Rams’ free-agent options at LT in wake of Alaric Jackson’s arrest, possible suspension

Even should he not be officially charged for Monday’s incident, Alaric Jackson may still draw another conduct suspension from the NFL. This time, however, it will be significantly longer — six to eight games, which will compel the Rams to seek alternatives for that period.

Fortunately, Sports Illustrated’s Blake Grisak has three free agents in mind.

Two of those are familiar to the Rams. Joe Noteboom spent the first seven seasons of his NFL career with them, while D.J. Humphries played eight games for the team in 2025.

The third, Taylor Decker, brings familiarity with quarterback Matthew Stafford, having been the reigning MVP’s teammate during the first half of his stint with the Detroit Lions.
