According to Yahoo Sports’ Thomas L. Murray, Kessler Walker met Stockard about two years ago after the Lakers star’s mother took a picture of Stockard during a basketball game and later set up her son to message her on Instagram.

Following his proposal on Sunday, Kessler Walker expressed his gratitude for getting engaged to his longtime girlfriend in an Instagram post.
“I give thanks to God I get to spend the rest of my life with you, Abbie. Here’s to the future together. I love you so much ❤️,” he wrote.
Walker’s post featured a single picture of himself with his fiancée. In the image, the Lakers star wore a white T-shirt over denim shorts. He had a black baseball cap on his head to complete his outfit. Stockard, on the other hand, wore a white sundress and a white baseball hat. She held up her left hand in front of the camera, showing off her engagement ring with a wide grin on her face.
Kessler Walker took the next step in his NBA career on Wednesday. The Jazz sent him to LA in a sign-and-trade deal with the Lakers. He signed a four-year, $130,000,000 deal with the Purple and Gold.
According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the Lakers sent a 2031 unprotected and a 2033 unprotected first-round pick, and a 2028 and 2030 first-round pick swap.
