Star India batter Tilak Varma ranked popular Indian foods amid the ongoing Test series against Sri Lanka. He recently featured in the T20I series against Ireland, England, and Zimbabwe.
Tilak Varma began by placing filter coffee at number ten, followed by pesarattu at eight and dosa at three. He added that he did not like masala dosa but liked the plain version and found the ghee pudi version interesting. Not being a big fan of momo, he ranked it ninth. The left-hander also ranked fan favorites chole bhature and pav bhajji outside the top five, at six and seven respectively.
He ranked Pani Puri fifth, followed by butter chicken at number two. Surprisingly, he called aloo paratha unhealthy and placed it at the very bottom (eleventh). He ranked gulab jamun fourth and ended by placing Hyderabadi Biryani at the very top in first place.
Tilak hilariously said that people would smash him if he did not place Hyderabadi Biryani on top, being from Hyderabad himself. He was born on November 08, 2002, in Hyderabad. The 23-year-old also represents Hyderabad and the South Zone in domestic cricket.
