Let us go over the equipment choices for this Capacitor build:
- Primary – Capacitor Exotic Assault Rifle
- Secondary – Lefty with Perfect Sledgehammer
- Pistol – Quick Step with Sport Mode talent
- Specialization – Technician
- Skill slot 1 – Firestarter Chem Launcher
- Skill slot 2 – Stinger Hive
If you use Prototype gear, check out this loadout:

If you do not use Prototype gear, check out this loadout instead:

With Prototype gear, every Yellow core attribute offers 1.5 Skill Tiers. This means that two Prototype pieces offer 3 Skill Tiers. This allows us to run Blue armor cores on two gear items, thus boosting our base armor rating. This helps increase your survivability.
Without the Prototype gear, we run Yellow cores on all gear pieces, and the missing one from The Courier named Hana-U backpack is filled in by the Technician Specialization bonus.
More about this Capacitor build
Capacitor is the de facto primary weapon in many Skill-damage builds. The main reason for this lies within the weapon talent. Let us take a look at Capacitance:
“Shooting enemies builds stacks to a cap of 40. Each stack grants 1.5% Skill Damage. After 5 seconds, stacks decay 1 per second. For each Yellow skill tier gain 7.5% weapon damage.”
By shooting enemies with this weapon, you not only boost your weapon damage, but also buff the damage output of your Skills. This works synergistically with damage-based skills like Chem Launcher, Drone, Turret, and so on.
If you are thinking about putting together a build around the Capacitor Exotic Assault Rifle, then try to maximise your Skill Haste and Skill Damage/Status Effect based on your Chem Launcher or Skill preference.
