29-year-old India spinner Sai Kishore bagged a five-wicket haul while conceding just six runs for Gloucestershire in their County Championship Division Two 2026 clash against Derbyshire. The match concluded at the County Ground in Bristol on September 5.

During Derbyshire’s second innings, Kishore wreaked havoc with the ball, dismissing Harry Came (5 off 19), Matthew Montgomery (0 off 1), Wayne Madsen (5 off 11), Aneurin Donald (1 off 6) and Brooke Guest (0 off 2) to claim five wickets while conceding just six runs in 7.4 overs. He eventually finished with figures of 5/20 in 18 overs.

Sai Kishore stars in Gloucestershire’s 213-run win in County Championship 2026

After opting to bat first, Gloucestershire were bowled out for 237 in 81.2 overs in their first innings, with James Bracey top-scoring with 113 off 166 balls, including 12 fours. For Derbyshire, Brett Randell was the pick of the bowlers, returning figures of 5/41 in 17.2 overs.

In response, Derbyshire posted 278 in 89.4 overs, with opener Muhammed Naeem leading the scoring with 71 off 119 balls, including seven fours and two sixes. Oliver Price was the standout bowler for Gloucestershire, claiming 6/45 in 21.4 overs, while Sai Kishore returned figures of 2/59 in 23 overs.

In the second innings, Gloucestershire declared at 359/5 after 100 overs to set Derbyshire a target of 319 runs. Miles Hammond (118 off 213, with seven fours and three sixes) and James Bracey (104* off 147, with seven fours and two sixes) both scored centuries.

However, Derbyshire were dismissed for 105 in 38.4 overs in the fourth innings, suffering a 213-run defeat. Kishore led the bowling attack with impressive figures of 5/20 in 18 overs, including 12 maidens. The left-arm spinner finished with brilliant match figures of 7/79.
