Sharing a division with the Rams, Seahawks and 49ers, the Arizona Cardinals entered the 2026 NFL season as an afterthought.
But behind a steady performance from Jacoby Brissett under center and 95 yards and a touchdown from tight end Trey McBride, the Cardinals upset the Los Angeles Chargers 26-14 to get Mike LaFleur the first head coaching win of his career.
McBride should once again be a focal point of the Cardinals passing game this year, and LaFleur paid him a major compliment after his strong season-opener.
“There’s no weaknesses to this guy,” the first-year head coach said.
“He’s mentally tough, he’s physically tough. He’s savvy. He’s got incredible hands. He’s right up there, if not the best I’ve ever been around.”
Now in his fifth NFL season, McBride is coming off of his second-consecutive 100-catch, 1,000-yard season with a career-high 11 touchdowns in 2025.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. McBride currently owns two of the 59 1,000-receiving-yard seasons recorded by a tight end in NFL history. How many of the tight ends to reach the 1,000-yard milestone in a season can you name in six minutes?
Good luck!
