“He’s done. Not that guy anymore”: NFL fans mock Saquon Barkley as Eagles RB exits game vs. Titans

Saquon Barkley’s Sunday lasted exactly one carry, and fans on social media noticed immediately.

The Philadelphia Eagles running back went down for no gain on the team’s first offensive snap against the Tennessee Titans, stopped at the line by defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons. He spent several minutes in the blue medical tent on Philadelphia’s sideline before jogging to the locker room. The Eagles later ruled him questionable to return with a stinger, according to a FOX sideline reporter.

Clips of Barkley limping off spread quickly, and fans already uneasy about his health history piled on within minutes of kickoff.

“He’s done. Not that guy anymore. Was a huge justice drafting him in fantasy,” one fan tweeted.

“This guy ever been healthy besides 2024? My god,” another added.

“Game started 10 minutes ago. Did he even play a snap?” a third commented.

Here are a few more reactions.

“Yeah this sh*t rigged,” one fan baselessly alleged

    “Cooked,” another added.

“His career window gets shorter every time you watch him play,” a fan tweeted.

Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley split carries in Saquon Barkley‘s absence as Philadelphia’s offense pushed deep into Tennessee territory on that opening series. The drive stalled when quarterback Jalen Hurts threw an interception into the end zone, and Titans safety Amani Hooker returned it 92 yards. Tennessee cashed in the turnover moments later when quarterback Cam Ward scored on a fourth-and-goal sneak, putting the Titans ahead 7-0 early.

Barkley has an extensive injury history, highlighted by a season-ending torn ACL in 2020 and multiple severe ankle sprains (2019, 2021, 2023) that sidelined him for several games each.
