    Odell Beckham has apparently not missed a step even after over a year’s absence from football, and his team’s fans are loving it.

    During the New York Giants‘ OTAs on Wednesday, the veteran wide receiver, who returned to the team two days ago after eight years, was spotted catching this slant pass from second-year quarterback Jaxson Dart:

    During his media availability, Beckham was candid about having to earn a spot on the roster after his extended hiatus — especially with fellow newcomers JuJu Smith-Schuster and Braxton Berrios on board.

    “I know I got a lot of work to do. … I came here to earn it.”

    He also spoke up on possibly mentoring to Malik Nabers, who is currently recovering from a knee injury:

    “I think I can be a great asset for him. Even when I wasn’t here, I was hitting him up and being like, no offense, ‘I know how [the media is]. I know how they are. I’m telling you.’ … Obviously, we know what kind of player he is, but however I can help him and everybody else, trust me, I know all the things to do and not to do.”

    Odell Beckham Jr. gets candid on wanting to remain a Giant during first stint with team

    As the old saying goes, “Time heals all wounds”, and this is where Odell Beckham Jr</a>. believes he has come with the Giants.

    He was very prolific in his first stint with the team, covering over 1,300 yards in his first three seasons and reaching the playoffs in 2016. However, internal disputes led him to be traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2019 despite a five-year, $95-million contract.

    During the same media availability on Wednesday, however, Beckham made it clear that he did not want to leave East Rutherford at the time:

    “All I ever wanted to do for this place was win. … I just wanted us to have a better team. I just wanted to be great. I care about it that much … if I regret anything, it would be not winning here.”

    OTAs will end on Thursday. Mandatory minicamp will follow from June 8 to 10.
