Noah Gragson got a fresh NASCAR Cup Series season in 2025 with Front Row Motorsports. The Las Vegas native had a chance to rebuild his career following stops with Stewart Haas Racing, Beard Motorsports, Hendrick Motorsports and Legacy Motor Club.
A season and a half later, rumors have placed Gragson at the center of NASCAR’s latest silly season discussion. Reports have listed the 27-year-old as one of the leading candidates for the No. 33 ride. Austin Hill, who took over the Chevy for the rest of the 2026 season sudden death of Kyle Busch, is another candidate for the full-time Richard Childress Racing seat in 2027. But Gragson’s past relationship with Bass Pro Shops has made him a popular name in the conversation.
Thanks for the submission!
Speaking on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio ahead of the Sonoma Raceway weekend, Gragson revealed that emotions nearly got the better of him after he clashed with former F1 driver Kevin Magnussen at San Diego. The Front Row Motorsports driver admitted he wanted to confront the former Formula 1 racer but backed down after receiving a warning from his team.
“I was over it, sick and tired and then he wrecked us so I really really really wanted to go fight and I was about to throw a punch and I got told right before I got over there that there’s going to be long-term consequences with my job if that was the case and so I had to really restrain it,” Gragson said.
“I’m going to do as best of a job as I can for the 4 team.”
Gragson never explained what those “long-term consequences” would have been. But his comments sparked fresh discussion.
The comments led to speculation that Front Row Motorsports viewed any physical altercation as serious enough to threaten his position with the team, even during the middle of the season.
“We’re not this f***ing bad” – Noah Gragson lets frustration boil over after Cody Ware battle at Sonoma

Noah Gragson was stuck in another close fight with Cody Ware at Sonoma Raceway last Sunday. Running 29th, he sounded angry on the No. 4 team radio and vented his frustration after Ware kept pressing his rear bumper.
“I’ve got the f***ing 51 beating my back bumper off. We’re not this f***ing bad, man. It’s a f***ing joke,” Noah Gragson said.
Gragson ended the road course race in 32nd place, his fourth finish outside the top-25 in past four races. He is 30th in the Cup Series points standings entering the season’s 19th race.
Meanwhile, Shane van Gisbergen won the Toyota/Save Mart 350, leading 74 of 110 laps.
