Arsenal are eager to strengthen their forward line this summer, with Mikel Arteta looking to compete on all fronts once again next season.
The need to sign a new left-winger could be exacerbated by a couple of key departures, with Besiktas agreeing a deal to sign Leandro Trossard, whereas Gabriel Martinelli is being targeted by Newcastle United.
With Trossard and Martinelli in line to move on this summer, the Gunners have been ramping up their pursuit of a replacement, and they are close to agreeing personal terms with Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers.
Rogers could make an instant impact at the Emirates Stadium, having amassed 21 goals and 19 assists in 85 Premier League appearances for Villa.
However, Arteta & co are also looking to bring in a forward who is yet to prove himself in one of Europe’s major leagues, namely Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis.

|
Credibility |
Arsenal may need to sign at least two new wingers this summer, as both Trossard and Martinelli could be heading for the exit door. As such, signing Tzolis alongside Rogers could be a savvy move. |
|
Finances |
It could take £34m to prise the Greek forward away from Club Brugge, which should be affordable for the reigning Premier League champions, especially considering they are set to raise £17m from selling Trossard. |
|
Insight |
The 24-year-old could now be ready to test himself in one of Europe’s major leagues, having amassed a whopping 43 goals and 45 assists in 108 matches since signing for Club Brugge. Scout Jacek Kulig described the former Norwich City man as “insane” back in May. |
|
Impact |
Tzolis’ primary position is left-wing, which means he could be an ideal replacement for Martinelli. However, he is also capable of playing on the opposite flank, meaning he could fill in for Bukayo Saka when required. |
Arsenal eager to wrap up deal for Christos Tzolis
According to a report from TEAMtalk, Arsenal are now pushing to sign Tzolis, and they remain keen on securing his signature, regardless of whether they get deals for Rogers or Paris Saint-Germain star Bradley Barcola over the line.
Arteta has made it abundantly clear he wants to maintain squad depth, with the Spaniard setting out to win the Champions League next season, which means two replacements may be necessary if Martinelli and Trossard move on.
Chrisos Tzolis more than ready for big Premier League move
Club Brugge won the Belgian Pro League title last season, while also making it to the round of 16 in the Champions League, and the 34-cap Greece international was one of their most important players.
Incredibly, the Thessaloniki-born star amassed 51 goal involvements in 52 matches across all competitions, indicating he is more than ready to test himself at one of Europe’s top clubs.
Crucially, the Club Brugge star has also tested himself in the Champions League, picking up three goals and four assists in 21 matches in the competition.
With Trossard in line to leave, Tzolis, who has the same agent as Arteta, has proven he could be the ideal replacement, and it is exciting news that Arsenal are now pushing to get a deal done.
