After emerging from Norwich City’s academy, Rowe announced himself during the 23/24 Championship season by scoring 13 goals in all competitions and becoming one of the Canaries’ biggest attacking threats.
His pace, willingness to take on defenders and eye for goal quickly attracted interest from clubs across Europe, eventually leading to a move to Marseille before Bologna secured his signature a year later.
His first season in Italy showed another side to his game.
Although Bologna asked him to adapt to a more tactical style of football, Rowe still made a significant contribution across Serie A, domestic cup competitions and Europe.
He finished the campaign with eight goals and five assists in total, while also producing several eye-catching displays in the Europa League against high-level sides.
His versatility allowed him to play on either wing or in more advanced attacking roles, making him one of Bologna’s most valuable forwards.
At 23, Rowe still has plenty of room to improve.
His explosive acceleration, direct running and confidence in one-on-one situations would give Everton another genuine outlet in transition, while his work rate fits the demanding style David Moyes has traditionally expected from wide players.
His end product could become more consistent, and he occasionally tries to force opportunities rather than making the simpler decision.
However, those are natural improvements for a player still developing, and his ceiling is still extremely high.
The Toffees have been linked with him since early 2025, but their interest hasn’t faltered in the slightest.
