Undefeated Turkish powerhouse Shamil Erdogan is headed for the biggest test of his ONE Championship career.
ONE Championship has confirmed a heavyweight MMA main event between Erdogan and British knockout artist Paul “King of the North” Elliott of England for ONE Fight Night 48 on Prime Video on Oct. 2 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
With the ONE heavyweight MMA world title currently vacant, both men arrive knowing a commanding victory could fast-track either of them to a championship opportunity.
Erdogan has built a reputation for ending fights before opponents can find their footing. The 36-year-old Kremost Fight Club and Tiger Muay Thai representative is a perfect 13-0 in MMA, with every ONE Championship appearance wrapped up before the final bell.

Meanwhile, Elliott arrives off a performance that stopped the combat sports world in its tracks.
The 34-year-old Akurei MMA Academy and TFT MMA product needed just six seconds to put Regan Upshaw away with a head kick at ONE Fight Night 44 in June, one of the fastest stoppages the promotion has ever recorded. All seven of his professional wins have come via finish.
Luke Lessei and Charlie Guest clash in featherweight Muay Thai
American striker Luke “The Chef” Lessei and English striker Charlie Guest collide in a featherweight Muay Thai contest with divisional stakes on the line for both.
Lessei enters on the back of a unanimous decision over Mohamed Younes Rabah in July, his 9-3 career record reflecting steady progress on the global stage.
Guest, on the other hand, turned heads immediately on debut, dropping Sam Fitzgerald three times en route to a TKO at ONE Fight Night 44.
A statement performance from either man could be the moment that separates them from the rest of the featherweight Muay Thai pack.
ONE Fight Night 48 broadcasts live in U.S. primetime and is free for Prime Video subscribers in North America.
