This year’s MADE Show was pretty special for so many reasons. The energy that surrounds the show is positive and inspiring. I’ve said it time and time again: you can really feel the love of the bicycle as you walk through the show.
While attending the past four shows, I noticed that there was never any negativity from anyone… exhibitor and attendee alike. Everyone is always smiling, laughing, embracing, and chatting.
The overall vibe is that we are all here together, as a whole, to celebrate the unique craftsmanship of the independent frame builder. The bicycle is a true form of functional art, and to see so many clever and skillful interpretations of the bike is awe-inspiring.
That being said, I am not always a fan of “art awards”, as art can be very subjective. But bikes are a little different. Right? I mean, as much as frame building is a true art form and a great way for a builder to express themselves, it still needs to resemble and operate like a bicycle in the end.
Awards can also make a world of difference for small frame builders to make a name for themselves, so without further ado, here are the winners for the MADE 2026 Best in Show & People’s Choice Awards!

Also: 2027 MADE Show Says Goodbye to Zidell Yards
Since I have you guys here… It was announced at this year’s MADE Show that this was the last MADE Show to be held at the Zidell Yards. That’s a little bittersweet for me. I thought the “Yards” was a perfect venue for the show spiritually, but it had its issues. I mean, it’s a huge open-air, 100-year-old barge manufacturing building; it was to be expected. Sure, the aesthetics matched the vibe of the show perfectly, but the amenities fell short.
Anywho, that’s all in the past now. After their fourth year at “The Yards”, it’s time for MADE to move on.
But where are they going, you ask?
New MADE Show Venue
The 2027 MADE Show will be held at the Portland Convention Center, in you guessed it… Portland, Oregon.
The show dates are August 6th, 7th & 8th.
Bikerumor will for sure be in attendance, giving you stellar coverage as always. We’re looking forward to seeing the new venue up close and personal. And we’re excited for the future of the MADE Show! It’s a great time!
