In this week’s edition of Anatomy of a Goal, we’re breaking down the Utah Royals’ 50th-minute equalizer against the Orlando Pride. The Royals went on to net another goal in this match and beat out the Pride 2-1.

Though the true goal build-up doesn’t start until around 24 seconds into the above clip, the first two-thirds of the video shows just how patient Utah was in their build-up. They strung together six passes, switched the field, and then swung the ball around to their goalkeeper before they began making progress up the field by way of defender Kate Del Fava.
