R Ashwin traps former RCB captain lbw to claim third wicket in European T20 Premier League 2026 [Watch]

Dublin Guardians off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin trapped former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain and current Rotterdam Dockers skipper Faf du Plessis lbw for his third wicket of the competition in the European T20 Premier League (ETPL) 2026. Match 10 of the tournament was played on Wednesday, September 2, at the Sportpark Westvliet in The Hague.

The dismissal came off the second ball of the 16th over of the Rotterdam Dockers innings. Ashwin bowled a short-of-a-length delivery that jagged back in sharply. Faf du Plessis looked to play it on the leg side but missed, with the ball striking him on the back pad as the umpire raised his finger. The right-hander opted for a review, but ball-tracking showed the umpire’s call on wickets hitting, and the decision was upheld.

The 42-year-old played a solid knock, scoring 79 off 51 balls, including nine fours and a six.
