HoYoverse answers 10 major questions about Nodusfall
Ever since the Nodusfall trailer was revealed at Gamescom 2026, players have been seeking more information on the game’s social media. In a recent tweet, the developers answered 10 major questions from the community. We have summarized all the information below:
Difficulty explored
When asked about the difficulty, HoYoverse specified that they do not want players to struggle. The game is designed to be accessible to help newcomers get accustomed to the action-RPG elements. However, there will be a high skill ceiling for controls, team play, and builds for those who prefer a challenge.
Characters in Nodusfall will be unlocked through progression instead of gacha. As such, players will have various options to play and strategies to incorporate.
Solo play, multiplayer, and platforms
The upcoming action RPG will feature solo play across the majority of its core content. Players can tackle boss battles and other encounters at their own pace without relying on others.
That said, the multiplayer mode will offer a better experience in most cases. HoYoverse has added a Divine Drain mechanic, which potentially offers advantages during battles and can only be triggered through proper coordination. The developers are currently fine-tuning multiplayer, so the maximum party size is yet to be announced.
Regarding platform availability, HoYoverse confirmed that Nodusfall will launch on PC. Subsequent announcements regarding other supported platforms will be shared later through official channels.
Combat skills, gameplay mechanics, and more

Aside from basic attacks and secondary skills, combat features a special system called Divine Skills. It is a customizable mechanic that allows you to trigger a range of effects, including offense, defense, and support. You can combine various skills to produce different outcomes, enabling you to create unique team compositions for boss fights.
Speaking of which, Nodusfall is more than just a monster-slaying game; it goes beyond intense action to incorporate a mythical world packed with lore, companions, and more. When you are not in battle, you can play a duet with a friend, soak in a hot spring, or explore the world to unveil its mysterious tales.
A mythology-themed action game
HoYoverse is expanding its horizons with Nodusfall, shifting away from its traditional gacha titles to introduce a mythology-themed action RPG. The studio is striving to create a fantasy world where divine authority has crumbled and order has collapsed.
You will take on the role of a Weaver, a heavenly messenger entrusted with a sacred mission to explore the mortal world and face perilous predicaments and powerful divine adversaries. Through this epic adventure, you will traverse a realm wrapped in mythology and grow strong enough to establish a new world order.

The developers are blending different mythologies to represent a world where different civilizations clashed, leading to a catastrophic war. You will uncover a shared narrative through the remnants of fallen societies, gathering the myths left behind.
With no divine power to guide, you must dig deeper into history to understand the forces that corrupted the world. This corrupting force, known as Mal, twists calamities into Dreadnodi. Weavers must sever the entangled Dreadnodi and prevent total destruction.
