    KL Rahul enters elite 10K club with a six in 3rd ODI against West Indies

    The India vs West Indies 3rd ODI is being played at the PCA Stadium, New Chandigarh. India has already won the series, won the toss, and elected to bat first. During the first innings, wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul smacked a six and brought up his 10,000 international runs. He has been one of the most versatile batters for the side.

    The Men in Blue won the series as they won the first two games by similar margins of 8 wickets. This is a dead rubber match and they made few changes brought in Mohammed Siraj, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Anshul Kamboj made his debut in the 50-over format. Shubman Gill marked his second ODI series win after winning the second game.

    During 33.3, while Matthew Forde was bowling to KL Rahul, he smacked a short ball outside the boundary and brought up his 10,000 international runs. He has been one of the finest batters in the modern era. He has looked good from the very start of the innings and never felt that he did not get to bat in the last two games.

    After reaching the milestone, he became the 15th Indian to reach 10K runs and the 98th overall in cricket history. In the last six matches against the Windies in the 50-over format, the team India vice-captain has scored two fiftes and two 40+ scores and one century. This has been one of the reasons he has been consistent at this position.

    Rahul looked in deft touch as he scored a fifty in the innings, for the first time in the series. This showcases his talent and the form he has been in in ODIs and Tests for the Men in Blue. He brought up his half-century off 41 balls, as he came in during a tricky situation after Rohit Sharma was dismissed and carried on the innings.

    The vice-captain of the side is right behind AB de Villiers while batting at No.5. He has an average of 65.3; this speaks volumes for the opener who has been exceptional for the Men in Blue at this position. He has been one of the most tried and tested batters; sometimes he comes at No.6 and also plays at the most difficult position in Test as he opnes,
