WATCH: Check out highlights from Rambolek’s explosive world title upset victory over Nabil Anane

Thai sensation Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon added his name to the roster of ONE Championship world champions in his last fight, taking the bantamweight Muay Thai world title from former divisional king Nabil Anane.

The 23-year-old Superbon Training Camp standout steadily dismantled his Team Mehdi Zatout counterpart in their five-round title fight at the promotion’s exclusive fight card offering, The Inner Circle, on March 20 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on his way to a convincing unanimous decision victory.

Rambolek followed his game plan to a T of using range to get the better of Anane, who tried to work in the clinch with little success. The Thai fighter made significant headway with his well-timed punches and kicks to continuously frustrate his opponent throughout the contest, with all the judges’ scorecards going his way in the end.

ONE Championship looked back on the marquee contest by sharing highlights of the match on its official YouTube channel.

The victory improved Rambolek to 68-14 in his professional career, and 8-2 in ONE Championship. More importantly, he further highlighted his standing as a solid force to contend with in the bantamweight lane moving forward.

Anane, for his part, lost in his first defense of the bantamweight Muay Thai gold after being elevated to undisputed champion from interim champ last year.

Jonathan Haggerty eyeing another shot at the bantamweight Muay Thai gold against Rambolek

Newly minted world champion Rambolek has a host of fighters looking to get a crack at his championship belt. They include former bantamweight Muay Thai top dog Jonathan Haggerty.

‘The General’ sent a message to the Thai standout in an interview with ONE Championship, after watching his younger brother, Freddie, compete last week in Thailand.

“Let’s just fight. May the best man win,” the 29-year-old Englishman said.

Haggerty used to concurrently hold the bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world titles before he lost the Muay Thai belt to Superlek by way of a 49-second knockout at ONE 168: Denver in September 2024. Since then, he has been raring to get an opportunity to reclaim the title.
