The New York Yankees entered the third inning of their game with the Athletics down 3-0 and in danger of losing the series.
Then they hit. And hit. And hit again, scoring 13 runs on 11 hits and four walks in the inning.
The bats would go dormant for the rest of the game, but it was more than enough as the Yankees won 13-8 to end a six-game west coast trip. The Yankees fell one run shy of tying the franchise-record of 14 runs in a single frame, set against the Washington Senators in July 1920. They also did it in a way that is uncharacteristic for them, not hitting a single home run despite leading all of baseball in dingers this season.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Ben Rice’s four RBIs gave him 44 for the season, just 21 fewer than he had in all of 2025 and currently leads all of Major League Baseball. With that being said, can you name the players to lead the American and National Leagues in RBIs since 2000?
Good luck!
