Two sides who have struggled to find their feet this season lock horns on Friday as Bristol City play host to Watford at the Ashton Gate Stadium in round eight of the EFL Championship. Bristol City were left empty-handed for a second straight game on Tuesday when they fell to a 1-0 loss against Lincoln City, with Freddie Draper netting against the run of play in the second half to hand the visitors all three points at the Ashton Gate Stadium.

This followed a 4-1 thrashing against Southampton at the St. Mary’s Stadium last weekend, a result which saw the Robins’ run of two consecutive victories come to an end.
Bristol City have lost three of their seven Championship matches so far, while claiming three wins and one draw to collect 10 points and sit 13th in the league standings, level on points with Southampton, Birmingham City, Millwall and Stoke City.
Elsewhere, Watford were sent crashing back down to earth last weekend when they suffered a 2-1 loss against Stoke City, with Jack McGlynn and Eric Bocat netting in either half to fire the Potters to all three points at Vicarage Road.
Before that, the Hornets snapped their run of five consecutive games without a win in all competitions on September 8, when they edged out Preston North End 2-1 on home turf.
