The recent episode of WWE NXT featured multiple debuts and surprises. Besides this, the show had some major matches, including a clash between Kelani Jordan and Wren Sinclair, which didn’t end well for the Women’s Speed Champion.
Here, Sinclair was accompanied by Kendal Grey ringside. The Champion gave Kelani a tough time before possibly suffering an injury when she executed a dropkick ringside on Jordan from the apron.
Thanks for the submission!
The star landed badly on her knees and was struggling to put pressure on her left leg. Following this, Kelani continued to attack the left leg of the Speed Women’s Champion to take advantage in the bout.
The match concluded with Jordan connecting with a split-legged moonsault on the Champion and scoring the victory. After this, Kelani celebrated on the entrance ramp, but Wren was struggling to get back to her feet.
Kendal Grey and the official assisted Sinclair into the ring, sparking concern that this injury could be legit. As of now, there is no official update from WWE.
Only time will tell whether the injury is severe or impacts the future of Kelani Jordan in the NXT brand. We at SportsKeeda wish her a speedy recovery and hope that her injury isn’t too serious.
Wren paid tribute to WWE veteran
During this match against Kelani Jordan, Wren Sinclair paid tribute to the legendary star, AJ Lee. Currently, the former Divas Champion is on hiatus from WWE. Recently, the veteran star posted an emotional message on her official Instagram account, thanking the entire Women’s locker room and her fans.
Meanwhile, in this WWE NXT showdown, Wren executed a Black Widow submission on Jordan, a popular move used by AJ Lee. However, this submission move wasn’t enough for Wren to secure the victory, as Kelani defeated her.
Despite this, Wren is receiving praise online for her in-ring skills and overall presentation. Following this defeat, her feud against Kelani Jordan is expected to continue in the developmental brand.
