Aniimo takes more than a few pages from other monster tamers, and this includes the addition of element types. Each Aniimo has at least one type, and each type is weak to or strong against a few others. This creates the classic rock-paper-scissors formula that makes these games so popular and appealing.

How do Element Types work in Aniimo?
There are a total of nine elemental types in Aniimo: Fire, Grass, Water, Electric, Earth, Ice, Holy, Dark, and Wind. Here’s how each element fares against one another, as per the element chart in the game:
Effective Against:
- Fire: Ice, Grass
- Grass: Earth, Water
- Water: Fire, Earth
- Electric: Wind, Water
- Earth: Ice, Electric
- Ice: Electric, Water
- Holy: Dark, Wind
- Dark: Holy, Fire, Grass
- Wind: Dark, Grass
Ineffective Against:
- Fire: Holy, Fire, Earth, Water
- Grass: Holy, Fire, Grass
- Water: Ice, Holy, Water, Grass
- Electric: Ice, Electric, Earth
- Earth: Dark, Earth, Water, Grass
- Ice: Ice, Fire, Wind, Earth
- Holy: Holy, Electric
- Dark: Water, Wind
- Wind: Electric, Wind
From the above details, it is quite obvious that Wind, Holy, and Dark elements have the least resistances. This, in turn, means that these elements will be generally useful against most elemental Aniimo, except their own type. This is great since your starter Aniimo, Helion and Lunara, are also of the Holy element and will be the only creatures of that type to be encountered for a while.
Other than that, the chart is fairly straightforward, and those coming from other monster tamers like Pokémon or Digimon will know what to expect for the most part, even without checking out the elemental type chart. This is all you need to know about type weaknesses and strengths in Aniimo.
