Mikaela Shiffrin broke the record for most World Cup wins on Saturday by claiming the slalom title in Åre, Sweden, fittingly the site of her very first World Cup victory in 2012. 53: Shiffrin’s tally of World Cup wins in her best discipline: slalom. In 2019, she passed Stenmark’s record of 40 to become the most decorated technical skier of all time.
