MI vs SRH Match Prediction: Who will win today’s IPL 2026 match?

The Mumbai Indians (MI) desperately need momentum. With five losses in seven matches, the five-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions have made a miserable start to the 2026 campaign. But their fate is still in their hands, and MI will hope that they can turn it around, as they have done so many times in the past.

The red-hot SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) will visit the Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday, April 29. The Orange Army have notched up a string of wins on the trot to overcome an indifferent start and seem set to make a serious playoff push. Pat Cummins is back, while the batters and uncapped pacers seem to be in sizzling form.

MI have won four of their last five clashes against SRH and will hope that the same pattern continues on Wednesday.

MI’s squad for IPL 2026: Hardik Pandya (c), Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, Deepak Chahar, Mitchell Santner, Shardul Thakur, Tilak Varma, Will Jacks, Ryan Rickelton (wk), Sherfane Rutherford, Quinton de Kock (wk), Naman Dhir, Raj Angad Bawa, Corbin Bosch, Allah Ghazanfar, Mayank Markande, Raghu Sharma, Robin Minz (wk), Ashwani Kumar, Danish Malewar, Krish Bhagat, Mayank Rawat, Mohammad Izhar.

SRH’s squad for IPL 2026: Pat Cummins (c), Travis Head, Heinrich Klaasen (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), Liam Livingstone, Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Kamindu Mendis, Harshal Patel, Jaydev Unadkat, Shivam Mavi, Brydon Carse, Eshan Malinga, David Payne, Aniket Verma, Smaran R, Zeeshan Ansari, Harsh Dubey, Salil Arora (wk), Shivang Kumar, Amit Kumar, Krains Fuletra, Sakib Hussain, Onkar Tarmale, Praful Hinge.

Mitchell Santner’s absence might hurt MI later in the competition, but they are unlikely to feel it against SRH, who have a bunch of left-handers in the top order. Will Jacks’ inclusion will greatly boost the hosts’ chances, especially against Ishan Kishan and Travis Head.

There is no word on Rohit Sharma’s fitness, but MI are clearly due a good performance. While SRH have done well with their limited resources in the bowling unit so far, they can still be put under pressure by a strong batting unit. And if Rohit is back, that’s just what Mumbai will have at their disposal.

Of course, Hyderabad can take the game away inside the powerplay. They are the clear favorites for this game, but MI can be backed to pull off an upset with their backs against the wall.

Prediction: MI to win Match 41 of IPL 2026.
