VIDEO: Chicago Rips Sami Zayn Apart After Heartbreaking Title Loss; WWE Star Responds

The Chicago crowd showed no compassion to Sami Zayn as they were seen ripping into him after his shock WWE title loss to CM Punk on RAW this past Monday. This surely did not win him over.

Zayn, who recently became the WWE Undisputed Champion at Night of Champions, was due to take on Cody Rhodes in a rematch. But after Rhodes was taken out by Gunther at the start of the show, Punk was named as the replacement. In a not so shocking twist of events, CM Punk went on to defeat Sami in a compelling contest to become an eight time World Champion.

Chicago, which is also the hometown of CM Punk, was elated. The fans cheered on with everything they had and even gave back some to Sami Zayn. In a video that has now surfaced, the fans were seen laying into Zayn as he was on his knees, crestfallen.

He flipped off at them before walking away. This makes for compelling viewing and it will be interesting how he will react when he is back.

Bully Ray reveals why Sami Zayn will never be a main eventer in WWE

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray is known for his hard takes on all things related to wrestling and he issued a very telling verdict on the future of Sami Zayn pertaining to his status as a main event star.

On a recent episode of the Busted Open Podcast, Bully Ray said that the company never saw Sami as a main event player.

“I think that Sami’s role in this may have come to an end. Let’s take a look at Sami Zayn’s career in the WWE. When has Sami ever been used long-term or in anything more than a co-star role? The match that he had in Montreal with Roman Reigns when that’s a one-night. Here’s your one night. It’s gone. Sami has never been a true main eventer in the WWE’s eyes,” said Bully Ray.

That is as blunt as it can get and Sami will no doubt want to prove him and all the other doubters wrong.
