[Teams] Arsenal vs Chelsea: Confirmed line-ups as Konsa makes full Gunners debut

Arsenal take on Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon with both clubs looking to extend their winning start to the new season.

Defending champions Arsenal started the campaign with a win over Coventry City before taking all three points away to Aston Villa last time out so they’ll be looking to maintain their 100 per cent record by beating Chelsea.

The visitors are also sitting on six points from their opening two matches having beaten Fulham 3-2 on the first weekend before seeing off Brighton 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller at Stamford Bridge.

Mikel Arteta is without Cristhian Mosquera today after he picked up a knock at Villa Park so Ezri Konsa comes in to make his full debut alongside Gabriel Magalhaes in the middle of defence.

Ben White keeps his place at right-back while Riccardo Calafiori gets the nod ahead of Piero Hincapie at left-back. William Saliba and Jurrien Timber remain out for Arsenal today.

Bruno Guimarães has been nursing a knock so he’s only named on the bench. Myles Lewis-Skelly keeps his place in midfield alongside Delcan Rice while Martin Odegaard captains the Gunners once again.

Bukayo Saka will be the dangerman on the right wing for Arsenal today while Christian Tzolis keeps his place on the left ahead of Eberechi Eze. Kai Havertz starts up front against his former side.

As for Chelsea, Emi Martinez starts against his old club in goal while Josh Acheampong lines-up in defence along with Maxence Lacroix and Wesley Fofana. Levi Colwill is named on the bench.

Reece James starts in midfield along with Romeo Lavia in the absence of Moises Caicedo. Jorrel Hato and Pedro Neto both start out wide with Cole Palmer and Morgan Rogers supporting Joao Pedro in attack
