The Buffalo Bills have not made the Super Bowl during star quarterback Josh Allen’s eight seasons with the franchise. The Pro Bowl quarterback has faced scrutiny for the Bills’ lack of postseason success.
However, NFL analyst Jordan Rodgers defended the Bills quarterback in an appearance on “Get Up on ESPN.” Rodgers outlined Allen’s strong performances in the playoffs over the years, claiming that the scrutiny against him is “misguided.”

“I think the scrutiny is misguided,” Rodgers said. “If you look at Josh Allen over the last six times they’ve been in the playoffs, he has 14 touchdowns to one interception.

“They lost three consecutive times by three points or fewer. Where should the scrutiny be? Defense. Can we get a stop? Can Josh Allen play defense? Because if he can, that’s where the scrutiny should be. To me, Josh Allen has done enough to win a Super Bowl, to get them to a Super Bowl.”

The Bills came the closest in 2024 during Allen’s MVP campaign. Allen threw for 237 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions in the AFC Championship Game against the Kansas City Chiefs in 2024.
Despite his solid performance, the Bills lost 32-29 to crash out of the postseason.

The Bills quarterback heads into the 2026 season as the No. 2 player on the NFL’s Top 100 Players list. Allen is the highest-ranked quarterback on the list with reigning NFL MVP Matthew Stafford at No. 4.
