    “I’m super excited to be married to him” – WWE star shares personal update

    It’s quite common for WWE Superstars to date each other while working for the same or different wrestling promotions. A female star recently shared a personal update following a major win.

    In 2023, Carmelo Hayes and Kelani Jordan began dating on the developmental brand. The two have been open about their relationship in public, and last year, they got engaged. Later, they announced their wedding plans for 2026, and Jordan provided a personal update.

    In a conversation with Denise Salcedo, the current NXT Women’s Champion was asked about her upcoming wedding ceremony with Carmelo Hayes, and the champion confirmed it’s happening next month. Moreover, she spoke highly of her soon-to-be husband.

    “Yes, it’s in October. So, part of me feels on top of the world, and the other part of my brain is like, ‘Oh my gosh. We literally have a wedding.’ And I’m super excited to be married to him. I feel like we’re already married. So, just kind of like putting the label on it,” Jordan said.

    Kelani Jordan is at the top of the women’s division on the developmental brand, where she recently defeated Kendal Grey to win the title at Heatwave.

    What’s next for Carmelo Hayes and Kelani Jordan in WWE?

    Earlier this year, Carmelo Hayes lost the United States Championship to Sami Zayn ahead of WrestleMania 42. Later, Hayes got a title opportunity against the new champion, Trick Williams. Unfortunately, Baron Corbin returned to the Stamford-based promotion and ruined their bout.

    After SummerSlam in Minnesota, Corbin defended the United States Championship against Carmelo Hayes on Friday Night SmackDown in Boston and won. The 32-year-old WWE star is still working in the mid-card division on WWE SmackDown. Meanwhile, Kelani Jordan recently won a title.

    After years of working on the developmental brand, Jordan finally captured the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Heatwave from Kendal Grey. The couple was quite successful on NXT, as both Kelani and Hayes have won the brand’s main and mid-card titles. It’ll be interesting to see what’s next for them in the coming months.
