With all the 2026 NFL Draft frenzy in the history books, the New York Giants can have a better understanding of their roster.
As such, they can turn their attention to the free-agent pool to see how they can improve. For weeks, there have been rumors about a potential reunion with Odell Beckham Jr., given his relationship with head coach John Harbaugh and his desire to return to the Big Apple.
However, as much as there’s mutual interest, Harbaugh confirmed that both parties are still figuring things out.
Odell Beckham Jr. looked “good” in Giants workout
“We worked him out,” Harbaugh said, via Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News. “He looked good. We just have to continue conversations. Talking with him Tuesday night. If we do anything, it has to make sense for the Giants. It has to make sense for him. We’re not decided on that yet. He’s not decided on that yet. Have to see where it is.”
Beckham hasn’t played since hauling in nine receptions for 55 yards in nine games for the Miami Dolphins in 2024. The former No. 12 pick used to be one of the most explosive pass-catchers in the game, but injuries derailed his career since his Super Bowl-winning campaign with the Los Angeles Rams.
OBJ has been vocal about his desire to retire from the game on his own terms, and he’s also admitted his regret for how things ended between him and the team that drafted him out of LSU.
The Giants lost Wan’Dale Robinson in free agency and didn’t get a shot at Carnell Tate in the first round, so they could certainly use a veteran to rotate behind franchise star Malik Nabers, Darnell Mooney and Darius Slayton. Will it be OBJ? We’ll have to wait and see.
