Chris Jericho found himself laying on the ground when he was assaulted live on AEW television by his current rival and his cohorts.
On the April 29 edition of Dynamite, Chris Jericho was being interviewed by Renee Paquette. Out of nowhere, Ricochet and his Demand members, Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona, attacked him. The former WWE United States Champion began trash-talking Jericho as he was tightly clutched by Liona and Kaun and even tore off his T-Shirt, which was a direct mockery of him and his faction.
Ricochet asked if Jericho wanted his AEW return to stay the same, with The Demand beating him up each week. Despite being in a weak position, the defiant Demo God told Ricochet to “eat sh*t” and called him “bald”, which further agitated him, and The Lightskin Kingpin tossed him into one of the crates.
As Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona left the scene, Ricochet stopped mid-way and jumped over Jericho in what looked like him delivering Y2J’s move, the Lionsault, like he had been doing for weeks. However, The One and Only chose to deliberately only do the flip and not hit Jericho, saying that he was not worth it before walking away.
WWE superstar namedropped Chris Jericho as one of his desired in-ring opponents
In a recent interview with GiveMeSport, current WWE star Dominik Mysterio said that he would like to wrestle legendary names like Ultimo Dragon and Dean Malenko. In doing so, he also namedropped Jericho.
“I would definitely love to wrestle Psicosis, he’s my Godfather, I think he’d be a good one. Ultimo Dragon, that’d be super fun. Dean Malenko. Chris Jericho. I can keep going on, but I’ll stick with those for now.” said Dominik Mysterio. [H/T: WrestleTalk]
While that match might not happen anytime soon considering Jericho is in AEW right now, it will surely be a captivating bout if it did happen some day.
